René Simonpietri was born in 1956 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Partly following in his father's footsteps, who was an architect and a painter, he took lessons with the Spanish-argentine painter Guillermo Amengual as well as the Swiss painter Patrick Devonas.

René Simonpietri works professionally as a music teacher and musician and has been living in Switzerland since 1982.

René Simonpietri es además músico y profesor de Keyboards. Vive en Suiza desde 1982.
